This week is recruitment (also known as “rush” at other schools) week for the Greek women’s organizations. This means that we have three parties on school nights and then by the end of the week there are new members in each organization. I’m having a lot of fun helping out my sorority so far. Tonight is the party that everyone always remembers, and it is going to be super. I’m very excited about all the girls that are going through and cannot wait to see who joins us. Since all this takes place during everything else “normal” going on like class and such, I’m beginning to get a little frenzied. But I think I’ll be able to catch up on sleep and homework. Greek life is so fun on this campus, in spite of its small stature! I hope everyone gets what they want this week…Ciao!

SendWinter break has been very good this year. As I am planning to go on a Nichols trip to Spain in May, I decided to get a job over the break to save some money. I’ve been working at El Chico Cafe waiting tables in my hometown, and I’ve done pretty decent on tips. My last day is this coming Wednesday, and although I have enjoyed my job, I will certainly be glad to be rid of the “taco” aroma my clothes obtain and the blisters my shoes have given me. Yay! Another reason my break has been so good is that I’ve seen all my friends that I don’t go to school with, and my family that isn’t always around. So, as I prepare to once again venture back to school, I am confident that this upcoming semester will be a pretty good one. Ciao!
