An evening of Baseball
I’m not gonna lie, there’s some nights where studying is just out of the question. I’ve got a couple tests coming up, but I decided I was going to break the cardinal rule and study the night before because baseball is on TV.
I mean if you’re a Cardinal fan, you know that it’s not just any baseball game, it’s a Cardinal game and every one of them matters. So it’s me and the usual suspects cheering and cussing each great play and terrible pitch. The Cardinals are down 3-1 in the eighth, but as any great fan knows, there’s always a chance.
So, it’s the bottom of the ninth and through some miraculous events, the Cardinals have pulled to 3-2 and the bases are loaded. Who else does the pitcher face but Albert Pujols, yeah pretty much the best player in baseball now. What else could you hope for with 2 outs and the game on the line. It must be the pitcher’s night though, as a pitch that you would expect Pujols to turn on, jams him, pops up and the game is over. Total let down for an evening wasted, but then again I guess it wasn’t really wasted…
Really these are the times that I’m sure I’m going to look back on and be glad that I procrastinated a little. Yeah that’s sounds bad, but you can’t go through school and study every night or you’ll go crazy. And if it really comes down to it you can always stay up til 4. Anyway, tomorrow night is another game and the couch will probably be filled again…I’ll probably be procrastinating again too.
